Mom loves power tools!

Feel the power!

Today was a beautiful day for opening up the garage tools and spending some quality time with my power tools! The smell of sawdust combined with the whirring song of the saw are quite intoxicating for a momma like me. I set out to make something functional for once, and settled on a pair of carved bookends. After sketching some lotus blossoms on pine board, I got down to business like so.

I can't wait to carve the details and paint these babies!
